Dear Woody,
I hope you know that you have influenced my ability to write poetry because until I met you, I was struggling with my poem.
I read Woody's Five Ways to Improve Writing. You suggested to do research which I did and that helped me with my facts and details to use in my poem. The details made my poem more interesting.
I also read Woody's Five Ways to to be Successful and learned that just because wiener dogs are small does not mean they can't do great things. I have learned to not give up because people say you're too young to be successful.
After meeting you and learning more about dachshunds, it made me want to own one just like you.
Sincerely,
Nicolas

My Travels With Woody!
I went to a place with Woody where there where many birds, butterflies, and cats, and bones, and Woody shot off his leashe like a cannonball shooting out of a canon and he ran so fast that I lost him. I looked all over in plases that I would expect him to be. And a few that I didn’t. And then I heard a sound that sounded like a dog yelping and I found Woody being beat up by a bunch of criminals. And I called the police and the vet and the criminals got arested. And Woody got back to health. And I never took my eye off him when I went to a place that a dog could get lost at. The end.

Dear Woody and Chloe,
I liked when you started the show out with songs and gave out dog bones. I know what Woody’s name stands for: Winner, Ownership, Others, Determination and Yourself. I wonder if Chloe’s name stands for anything. The best part was when Woody bit Ernie’s head. I think Chloe slept too much. Thank you so much for coming to our school. That was the best!
Your biggest fan,
Oksana

Dear Woody,
We have been reading your stories in the newspaper. When you went to Monkey's Eyebrow, we thought it was really funny. The name of the town was funny and we thought it was neat that it looked like a monkey's eyebrow. Bowling Green was great. Big Red was really neat. We were sorry that you got into trouble. Thank you for teaching us about our state.
Love,

Leigh Anne,
Thanks for visiting our school, St. Athanasius. I wish to become a writer when I grow up, so your visit was very exciting. I have notebooks everywhere with unfinished stories in them. I'm on the computer constantly and can type 63 words per minute! I like dogs and have one myself. She's an Australian Shepherd named Red. I look up to you. You're very happy and peppy, ready to do anything, but the writers I read about (by the way, reading is my favorite thing in the world!) are always down . . . You were very optimistic and that's an honorable value. I hope to get a reply, but understand if you can't as soon as I'd like you to.
Thanks,
Twyla

Dear Mrs. Florence,
Thank you so much for the wonderful presentation you gave today. My students and I really enjoyed it. It is difficult to capture the attention of my very active young boys, but your energy and adorable dogs were able to do it easily. I think you made a good impression on them. Have a wonderful book tour. Stay well. Sincerely,
Mrs. Kemper
