Internationally acclaimed Kentucky wonder dogs Woody and Chloe return to your newspaper pages this Fall with "Doghouse Divided," written by Leigh Anne Florence of Shepherdsville and illustrated by our new illustrator, Donnie Mather.
This year, Kentucky will commemorate (or remember) our state's role in the Civil War that occurred 150 years ago. Therefore, Chloe and I thought it was only fitting we wrote a story about The War Between the States. We couldn't believe all we learned about the Civil War and we barely scratched the surface. We're looking forward to learning more about our state's heritage.

In the end will Woody and Chloe learn what it means survivors?

Mr. Dogwood Goes to Washington [2007]

Woody and his sister Chloe debuted a brand new newspaper series in Fall of 2007. Sponsored by Kentucky Press Association and LG&E/KU, "Mr. Dogwood Goes to Washington" premiered in newspapers across Kentucky.
Everyone keeps asking Woody why he is using his full name instead of Woody. You will just have to read the series to find out!
Association of Newspapers Grand Prize Winner: "The prize honors the newspaper that devised the year's most innovative project to develop young readership. The award takes into consideration the contribution of the programme to the newspaper, education, literacy and citizenship and favor projects that could be transferred easily to other countries."
